Plan the space
A patio that fits how you live outside
We don’t do cookie-cutter layouts. These are the details we work through with you before anything is formed or poured.
01
Size
Enough room for how many people you host, without overbuilding the yard.
02
Furniture
Space for the table, chairs, grill or fire pit you plan to use, with room to move around them.
03
Traffic flow
Clear paths from the door to the seating, grill and yard so people aren’t squeezing past.
04
Steps
Safe, comfortable steps where the patio meets a door, deck or a change in height.
05
Grade
How the ground slopes today, and whether the patio needs a step, a wall or a level change.
06
Drainage
A slight slope built in so rainwater runs away from the house instead of pooling on the patio.
07
Sun and shade
Where the afternoon sun lands, and room for a pergola, umbrella or shade later.
08
Connection to the home
A patio that lines up with your doors and matches your home’s exterior and landscaping.
Finish options
Choose the finish that fits your style
Every patio is sealed for weather resistance. The finish decides the look, the texture underfoot and the budget.
Broom finish
A clean, lightly textured surface with good traction. The simplest and most budget-friendly option.
Best for: everyday patios and walk areas
Smooth trowel
A sleek, smooth surface for a modern, finished look.
Best for: covered or low-traffic areas
Samples on request
Exposed aggregate
The top layer is washed back to reveal the stones in the mix for a natural, textured surface.
Best for: textured, natural-looking patios
Stamped border
A standard center framed by a contrasting stamped border — decorative without stamping the whole patio.
Best for: a decorative look on a tighter budget

The problem
Drainage issues left the backyard wet and unusable after every rain.
What we did
Fixed the grading, then installed a new concrete patio.
“Unique Concrete fixed the grading and installed a patio that finally solved the problem. It’s functional and looks great, which is a huge win for us.”

How your patio gets built
Most patios are completed in 3 to 5 days, depending on size, site access and weather. You’ll get a detailed timeline up front.
Request a Patio Estimate1 · Site visit
We look at the space, measure, check the grade and drainage, and talk through how you’ll use the patio.
2 · Layout
We plan the shape, size, steps and finish, then give you a detailed written estimate.
3 · Preparation
Excavation, a compacted base and forms set to a slight slope so water drains away from the house.
4 · Placement
A high-strength mix is poured into a reinforced slab, with expansion and control joints planned in.
5 · Finishing
Broom, smooth trowel, exposed aggregate or stamped — the finish you chose is applied while the concrete is workable.
6 · Curing
Proper curing lets the slab gain strength and reduces cracking. We seal it with a weather-resistant sealer.
7 · Care
We clean up the site and tell you when the patio is ready for foot traffic and furniture, and how to care for it.

What our customers say
How do you handle drainage around a new patio?
We build a slight slope into the patio so rainwater runs away from the house, and correct the grading where water collects. If part of the yard needs to be held back or leveled, a retaining wall can be part of the plan.
What finishes are available?
We offer broom texture, smooth trowel, exposed aggregate and stamped patterns, plus stamped borders. Each gives a different look and level of slip resistance, and we’ll help you choose the best match for your style and use.
Will my patio crack over time?
Minor cracking is normal for concrete, but we use control joints, proper curing and high-strength mixes to minimize it. Our patios are reinforced and sealed to resist shifting temperatures and moisture.
How long does a new patio need to cure?
Curing is part of every installation, and the timing depends on the mix and the weather. We’ll tell you when the patio is ready for foot traffic and when it’s ready for heavier use.
When can I put furniture back on the patio?
Wait until we confirm the patio has cured enough for furniture and grills. When you move things back, lift rather than drag them, and use pads under heavy or metal legs to protect the surface and sealer.
How long does it take to install a concrete patio?
Most patios are completed in 3 to 5 days, depending on size, site access and weather. That includes excavation, forming, pouring, finishing and curing, and we’ll give you a detailed timeline up front.
Can you match my patio to my landscaping?
Yes. We design patios to coordinate with your home’s exterior and existing yard features, and can tie them into walkways, gardens or retaining walls for one cohesive outdoor space.
Ready for a patio you’ll actually use?
We’ll walk your yard, plan the layout and finish with you, and give you a detailed written estimate.
