Decorative options
More ways to customize decorative concrete
Stamped concrete can be customized with integral or surface-applied color, textured finishes and decorative borders. We can combine a main pattern with a contrasting border to frame a patio, driveway, walkway or pool surround.
We also install exposed aggregate for customers who want a natural stone texture without a stamped pattern. Exposed aggregate works well on patios, driveways, walkways and pool decks and can be compared with stamped options during the estimate.

Stamped versus standard
Stamped or standard concrete?
Both are poured, reinforced concrete. The difference is how it looks, how it’s maintained and what goes into the price.
Stamped concrete
Standard concrete
Appearance
Stamped
Patterned and colored to look like flagstone, slate, brick or wood plank.
Standard
Plain gray with a broom or smooth finish.
Maintenance
Stamped
Occasional resealing keeps the color and texture looking fresh.
Standard
Occasional cleaning. A sealer helps protect against moisture and de-icing salt.
Options
Stamped
Many combinations of pattern, color, border and finish.
Standard
Broom or smooth finish and the layout of control joints.
Cost factors
Stamped
Costs more than standard concrete because of color, stamping labor and sealing. Price depends on size, pattern, colors, borders and site prep.
Standard
Lower installed cost. Price depends mainly on size, thickness, base preparation and access.

Care and resealing
Simple care keeps it looking new
Stamped concrete is low-maintenance, not no-maintenance. With proper installation and care, it can last 25 years or more. Here’s what to expect as an owner.
We’ll give you care tips for your specific sealer and finish when the job is done.
1
Reseal on a schedule
Occasional resealing protects against moisture, UV and wear and keeps the color and texture looking rich.
2
Everyday cleaning
Sweep regularly and rinse with water. Clean spills before they soak into the sealer.
3
Winter protection
The sealer helps protect the surface from de-icing salts and moisture during Fort Wayne winters.
4
Traction where it matters
A non-slip additive goes into the sealer, which matters most on pool decks, steps and entries.
5
What’s normal
Like all concrete, small hairline cracks can appear over time. Control joints and a reinforced base help keep movement in planned places.
Reviews
What our customers say
What color options are available?
We custom-color stamped concrete in a range of tones, including grays, tans, browns and reds, and can add a contrasting border. You’ll choose from samples and photos of past projects during your consultation.
Will stamped concrete crack?
Any concrete can develop small hairline cracks. We use air-entrained mixes, a reinforced base, proper drainage and planned control joints to reduce cracking and keep movement where it’s designed to go.
How often does it need to be resealed?
Occasional resealing keeps the color and texture protected from moisture, UV and wear. How often depends on sun exposure and traffic — we’ll give you care tips for your surface.
Is stamped concrete slippery when wet?
To improve traction, we add a non-slip additive to our sealers during installation. For pool decks and front steps we can also choose textures that improve footing.
Does stamped concrete hold up to Indiana winters?
Yes. We use high-strength, air-entrained mixes and proper drainage for freeze-thaw conditions, and the sealer helps protect against de-icing salts and moisture.
How long does stamped concrete last?
With proper installation and maintenance, stamped concrete can last 25 years or more. Occasional resealing helps it keep its color and texture.
